Our packaging – moulded fibre pulp

EGI’s packaging plays an important part of an effort to conserve the environment, decrease the demand for non-renewable resources, reduce pollution, and promote sustainable practices in the packaging industry.

Our packaging is something we’re proud of – it’s crafted from ‘moulded fibre pulp’ which derives from 100% recycled waste cardboard, giving a new life to old materials. What makes it even more remarkable is that it’s not only made from waste materials; it’s also 100% biodegradable, compostable, and recyclable.

The process begins by combining water with recycled waste cardboard to form a fibrous pulp for our moulds. This wet pulp is then ‘formed and pressed’ and dried to provide strength and rigidity. Throughout this meticulous process, rigorous quality control protocols are in place to ensure each product meets the high standards we expect. This commitment ensures the utmost quality and consistency for every pallet produced.

In collaboration with our strategic partner, we leverage the latest technology and state-of-the-art machinery for the design and production of our products. This enables us to consistently deliver high-quality packaging.

SUSTAINABILITY

Our packaging material is made from moulded fibre pulp, recognised as one of the most environmentally sustainable options available. Sourced from natural and renewable materials, it reflects a commitment to responsible choices. Opting for moulded fibre pulp substantially minimises the environmental impact of packaging, diminishing the demand for new materials. Through the use of recycled materials, we actively contribute to conserving natural resources and reducing the carbon footprint associated with the production of our packaging.

RECYCLABLE

Our packaging is designed with the journey’s end in mind. It’s easy to recycle or let it naturally decompose without causing harm to the planet. We believe in responsible choices that extend beyond its immediate use. Knowing that our packaging is recyclable gives us peace of mind. It can be effortlessly collected and processed through existing recycling systems, getting a new life up to 26 times! This isn’t just recycling; it’s contributing to a circular economy. It means we’re actively reducing the need for new raw materials and minimising waste – a choice that aligns with our commitment to sustainability.

BIO-DEGRADABLE & COMPOSTABLE

The exceptional advantage of moulded fibre pulp lies in its inherent biodegradability. Unlike plastic or styrofoam packaging, which can persist in the environment for hundreds of years, moulded fibre pulp undergoes natural decomposition over time. This eco-friendly characteristic positions it as an ideal and sustainable substitute for traditional packaging materials that contribute to long-lasting environmental impact.

CUSHIONING & PROTECTION

The fibrous structure of moulded fibre pulp serves as a highly effective shock absorber, adept at mitigating and minimising the impact of shocks and vibrations during transportation. This unique characteristic makes it an ideal choice for safeguarding fragile items, significantly reducing the risk of damage and breakage. Its exceptional protective qualities make it especially well-suited for a range of delicate products, including those in industries dealing with liquids, such as paint, beverages, and food.

EFFICIENCY

Our packaging is meticulously crafted with efficiency in mind. On average, our moulds offer an impressive packing time of 30-40 seconds, which includes taping up the box! Opting for packaging that is easy to assemble and open not only saves time for both the sender and the recipient but also aligns with sustainability goals. By eliminating unnecessary packaging and embracing streamlined designs, we not only reduce material consumption but also lower transportation costs and carbon emissions. The benefits extend to cost savings, with reductions in excess packaging, man-hours, and shipping.

VERSATILITY

Moulded fibre stands out as an exceptionally versatile material with the capability to be crafted into an array of shapes and sizes, catering to the vast spectrum of products available in the market. Its adaptability and flexibility make it a preferred choice for protective packaging across various industries. Beyond its protective attributes, moulded fibre also boasts inherent insulation properties. This quality proves invaluable for products sensitive to temperature variations, offering a layer thermal protection during the transit of goods.

Choosing pulp packaging isn’t just about its protective qualities; it’s a conscious decision that contributes to a more significant cause. Moulded pulp is the perfect solution for the planet’s need to be sustainable and carbon neutral, as it allows businesses to replace their current non-recyclable plastic packaging with an environmentally sustainable option. Platinum Property Partners Review Image

"An all round positive experience, and one happy customer"

The team at Ezee Group were really helpful in sorting out our problem and getting us what we needed. After an unfortunate accident transporting 10L tubs of paint via another system, they sent us exactly the right product that worked perfectly. The design of the packaging, the clear instructions on how to put it together and pack our products, were simple and resulted in a robust solution that worked in practice. The materials used in the packaging were all cardboard-based and biodegradable, and felt pleasant to handle. All in all an all round positive experience, and one happy customer. Well done Ezee Group, and thank you.
